Playdough becomes even more exciting when it comes with a story to tell.
A simple piece of dough can become a dinosaur, an ocean creature, a farm animal, a rocket, a princess castle, or anything else a child can imagine. That is what makes themed playdough so special—it gives children an idea to begin with while leaving plenty of room for creativity.
The DoughLab Theme Kits from The Children's Lab are designed to turn ordinary playtime into imaginative, hands-on adventures.
Why Do Kids Love Themed Playdough?
Children naturally enjoy creating things with their hands. Rolling, squeezing, flattening, pressing and shaping dough gives them the freedom to experiment and make something of their own.
When playdough has a theme, children also have a world to explore.
A dinosaur-loving child can create a prehistoric adventure. A little space enthusiast can build planets and imaginary galaxies. Someone fascinated by the ocean can create an underwater world filled with sea creatures.
The possibilities are open-ended.

Let Children Become the Storytellers
One of the easiest ways to make themed playdough even more engaging is to ask questions.
Instead of telling your child what to make, try asking:
"What is happening in your dinosaur world?"
"Where is your rocket going?"
"Who lives on your farm?"
"What happens under the ocean?"
These simple questions can turn a playdough activity into a storytelling adventure.
